The Founder

Reid began in the insurance industry January 19, 1976 with Life and Casualty Insurance Co. He originally
took this job with the intent of moving to another career. After praying and seeking advice from loved ones,
he realized that he had already found the career in which he was searching. Reid loved to help people save
money and to provide useful advice. He knew he could not help his clients save money working for Life and
Casualty Insurance Co., but he could best serve his clients by working for them, not insurance companies.
October 20, 1978 Reid became a broker and this was the foundation of Reid Gardner Insurance Agency.
The agency merged with Capital Concepts in 2001, and in 2004 Reid acquired the group division and 
renamed the agency, The Gardner Group.
